Mesh Mashup (Concept Generation)

 I have begun my Mesh Mashup objects

1. Portal

 Starting with a combination of these three objects found on Thingiverse.

I've made a stair case of figures running into this portal. I first got the idea when I seen the musical instrument and had the thought that it looked like a stair case. I also thought that since the instrument is limited and only goes so far, I wanted to make the end more interesting, so I added the portal like circle. And because of these specific human figures I used, I was able to take only half of one of them and make it look like one of them was halfway through the portal.

When I had seen the fish designs while scrolling through Thingiverse, and then later seen this blank arcade box I decided to combine them to make this fish tank contraption. The arcade box also had the perfect opening for a fish tank. 

I've seen shows where they turn everyday objects into fish tanks and new that I wanted to try to make one that I've never seen before. Plus look at the cute little goldfish:)

3. Liquid Otters

I had seen the otter figure and as someone who is obsessed with otters, I just had to incorporate it into one of my mashups some how. The flow and curve of the otters reminded me of water or just some sort of liquid, so I came up with the idea of making it look like they were spilling out of this wine glass.

5. Chip Clip T-rex

This is one of my favorite mashups, I mean just look at him.

I came across the clip and for some reason, when I seen the two little teeth on the top, and the circle on the sides, it reminded me of some sort of reptile face, then I came across this t-rex with its mouth open, and it was a perfect match, so I replaced its head with a chip clip. I find it very comical, I was able to turn this beast of an animal, that might be a bit more scary to some, into something you could laugh at.

I remember when so many people did the "trend" of putting mentos in a bottle of coke and it would erupt and shoot upward. I took that as inspiration, and made the bottle into a rocket itself.

Zim and Zou, also known as Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmerman, are two people who've created these detailed and eye catching window installations. Papercraft: Digital Samples

For my first sample I decided to make the Ariana Grande perfume bottle that my partner got me for Christmas. It's this super cute cloud shape holder with the round perfume bottle sitting inside. I use it all the time and it smells amazing.  The only thing I didn't know how to get rid of, to make the digital sample look better, was the cut off shapes on the front of the cloud, which I'll have to figure out how to do that before I start the final project (If I choose to make this.) Other than that, I think this one is really cool!   I've made my second sample I made a record with it's case, inspired by the record I have in my room on my desk, it literally staring me in the face since it sits on the desk I work on. I also started of thinking of important or just interesting objects that I have In my life, so I started thinking about how my dad has boxes and boxes full of these antique records that I believe were from my grandpa, and now we have them in our garage, my b
